Gloucestershire Quakers

Welcome to the website of Gloucestershire Quakers: a resource for local Quakers
and a signpost for anyone interested in finding out more about Quaker life.
Our aims are two: to enable Quakers to keep in touch with each other across
the county, and to provide information about our activities for others.

Gloucestershire Area Meeting is an umbrella which covers eight Local Meetings.
It is a constituent part of Britain Yearly Meeting. To care for the spiritual and pastoral life of our meetings, we have elders and overseers. Every three years the Area Meeting appoints elders and overseers for each Local Meeting who in turn appoint their own clerks and committees.

INFORMATION ABOUT QUAKERS
For more information about Quaker faith and practice and a comprehensive and frequently updated picture of Quaker work, feel free to visit the
Britain Yearly Meeting website

You might like to view the website of the Quaker tapestry which explores three centuries of social history, and gives some insight into the Quakers and their contribution to society. Or you might like to know more about what the Quakers do in Europe, go to www.qcea.org or download their newsletter.
